Membership runs from January 1 st to December
31 st. $18 of the membership fee is allocated to CanadianBookseller magazine.
CanadianBookseller
Included in your annual membership fee is a subscription
to your own trade magazine, full of news, comments, updates, retailing
information, and analysis of your industry. CanadianBookseller is
the Association's official magazine and the principal networking
tool of trade and campus bookstores across Canada. The magazine,
published four times a year, focuses on the specific needs of booksellers,
and features articles covering professional and business development,
industry and book news, and association activities. It is a favoured
advertising vehicle for publishers and other suppliers.
CBA News
CBA News is a weekly eNewsletter, distributed to all CBA members.
BookExpo Canada - National Convention and Tradeshow
Affiliate members are eligible for discounted
rates when attending BookExpo Canada. The tradeshow attracts several
thousand individuals from the bookselling industry. Registrants
include trade and campus bookstore owners and managers, chain store
buyers, bookstore personnel, librarians, authors, exhibitors and
media. The tradeshow provides an excellent opportunity for Affiliate
members to network with booksellers from across Canada.
Mailing Lists and Labels
CBA members can purchase mailing lists and pressure
sensitive labels at substantial savings over non-members. Lists
can be sorted according to a variety of specialties or geographic
regions.
